Its was an awesome 10day silk road tour. It was as eye opener that China is not only a Buddhist country but has Arabic/Muslim influences. I love the Terracotta Warrior museum, Mogao grottos, Dunhuang camel ride, the Crescent moon lake, the different ruins (Jiaohe, the old cemetery etc), Heavenly lake and the Xinjiang museum. Learning the different cultures of Different ethic groups in China was fascinating too. It’s also interesting to taste the spices of their food and the Kebab. Over all the Kashgar travel agency did their job. We have different tour guides as we moved from one place to another but over all I like Omar, Tudaji as our guide. The Train ride to Turpan was safe as we have our cabin to ourselves. One advice I would like to share, always bring with you extra toilet papers and wipes as hotels in China I believe have shortage with toilet paper. Wipes I are important because at times you go do your #2 in the wilderness just to be on the safe side of it and bring your own hand sanitizer just in case. Public toilets do not have seats but you have to squat onto the ground. So, with travelers who have hip surgery/replacements beware.
Anyway, I love the trip overall and I would recommend Kasghar Guide for anyone who are interested with the Silk Road trip.
Thanks!
