This was the most awesome trip I ever had amongst all places which I had visited to China to date.

Mahbuba, Skandar and Muhammad were very hospitable and enthusiastic to share their little stories with us. A very emotional trip indeed, and very blessed to meet wonderful people around. I was coming solo and on a tight budget, Imam was able to link me up with the other travellers to put together our itinerary and experienced the unexpected (on a good note ? )

Thank you Xinjiang Travel, for making this trip happen! rakmat!

Definitely worth a revisit.

From A to Z, our experience with Imam and Xinjiang Travel was splendid. We had planned quite a specific trip with particular sites and subjects not found in any guidebook. From rapid fire responses to our various emails in planning stages to crucial on-the-ground help, Xinjiang Travel’s guidance proved essential to our trip. Our guide and interpreter, Tudajim, did a considerable amount of preparation before our arrival, as per our requests. His English skills, attitude, attentiveness and knowledge proved to be one of many highlights of our trip. It was one of the rare occasions for us to require so much assistance–from itinerary to interpreter to driver–and we have no regrets whatsoever.

All the best, Payam from Paris.

Dieter and Annett

Currently living in Shanghai, we decided to do the Silk Road trip only 3 weeks before the trip. We received quick responses from Imam and could discuss some adaptations on the itinerary with no problems. Organization of the tour was good, no problems with tickets for planes and trains. We spend 6 days in Kashgar, had a very friendly driver and a friendly guide, but English was little bit an issue. The stay at the family at Karagul lake was really interesting and we recommend it, even so we had to struggle with “high sickness”. We also did the “Desert” tour and expected some real nature adventure, but did end up in a AAAA scenic spot, so be prepared for a kind of “Disney Desert Chinese Style” to avoid beeing dissapointed.
In Turpan, the guide was very good, good knowledge, friendly and good English skills, same as in Dunhuang. In Dunhuang you may consider to skip the “Ancient Great Wall” and the fortress – 2 hours drive (one way) and only little to see. In general it was a great trip and without hesitation we can recommend Imam.

I booked a trip just about 30 hours before take-off. Prompt and clear responses from Imam made me feel good about Xinjiang Travel. Joined a group of four who had already a defined itinerary. It turned out to be even better than my high expectations! Almost hard to understand how we managed to see everything we did in Urumqi, Turpan, Hotan, Yarkand, Yingisar and Kashgar in five days. Knowledgeable and kind guides, safe drivers, perfect selection of sites and hotels. Very satisfied and for sure would like to go back some day!
